EVOLUTION OF THE MINSTRELS OF MAYHEM

Pompador and Melodio being reflective...The Minstrels Of Mayhem began with two musicians who had the same dream: make great music and have fun while doing it. Ty and Jerry had previously stumbled upon the magic of Renaissance Festivals, so they centered their beginnings together accordingly.

Since then, the Minstrels of Mayhem have made their way into the hearts of many faithful fans with their unique brand of traditional and original folk music. The Minstrels of Mayhem are best known for their amazing vocal blends, charismatic acoustics, and quick wit.

From songs of love to songs of heartbreak, or original tunes that'll make you burst out laughing, M.O.M. will leave a lasting impression because each venue brings out new songs and quips.

Once you have seen one of their comedy shows or evening concerts, you will find the music and the experience addictive. There is even the Minstrels of Mayhem fan club (MOMHeads). Constantly expanding their repertoire, the Minstrels of Mayhem have enchanted audiences everywhere.

During the evolution of the Minstrels of Mayhem, there have been a few changes. Craig Merlin Broers rounded the crisp and heart-tugging sound to a trio. The release 'Now' featured Craig as the '50% more minstrel'. After 4 years, Craig chose to pursue other adventures, and so the Minstrels of Mayhem bid him a fond farewell. Their paths still cross.

The Minstrels of Mayhem were excited to add violinist Thomas Nuendel to the new trio in the spring of 2001. Thomas has played from New York to New Orleans since the age of eight. For the last two years he has been the musical director for the Flaming Idiots during their Christmas Broadway run, has played with the group Cantiga, and the variety artist Danny Lord (who still owes him $7.50!) Thomas has appeared with M.O.M. before at certain shows (Ohio and California), and his phenomenal ability to make a violin produce 'ethereal melodies and keening delirium' (New Orleans review) has made the transition seamless. Welcome Thomas.
